BSB80120 Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning)

Purpose of Qualification

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply specialised management learning and development knowledge and skills. Individuals at this level generate and evaluate complex ideas and use advanced cognitive and technical skills to design, implement and evaluate learning and development programs across a range of contexts. They operate with a high degree of autonomy and accountability, leading organisational learning initiatives and contributing to strategic direction.

Learner Characteristics / Client Cohort

Target groups for BSB80120 Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning) are international students who are: seeking to advance to senior L&D or organisational development roles, seeking to develop strategic leadership capabilities, or seeking a pathway to postgraduate university study. Students will usually have some prior business or management experience. Credit and/or RPL can be provided for those with existing skills and knowledge.

Pathways

After achieving BSB80120 Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning), individuals could progress to postgraduate university studies in Business Administration, Organisational Development, or related fields. Possible job outcomes include: senior L&D manager, organisational development manager, training manager, chief learning officer, and executive leader.

Qualification Entry Requirements

There are no mandatory entry requirements for this qualification. To enrol, students must: be at least 18 years of age, have completed a bachelor degree or equivalent (recommended), meet the English proficiency requirement (IELTS 6.5 or equivalent), and have appropriate Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) levels as determined by Clinton Institute's LLN test prior to enrolment. For international students, it is a condition of entry that upon acceptance, students provide evidence of having an Australian Student Visa (subclass 500).

Compulsory Work Placement Arrangements

Students may be required to complete practical workplace projects as part of their course to gain real-world strategic management and learning development experience.
